A CANCER sufferer has helped raise more than £2,000 for Alzheimer's Society.
Mark Alexander, who runs a hair and beauty salon in Parr Lane, Unsworth, took part in a the 21-mile Preston Guild Wheel walk.
He was accompanied by more than 40 other walkers who were raising money for the same good cause.
Thanks to sponsorship from friends, family, staff members and clients, the businessman raised more than £230.
Mark, who previously was involved in fundraising for Bury Hospice, said: "I decided to take part in the Preston walk after my friend's mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's."
The businessman, who has run Mark Alexander Hair and Beauty for the past 10 years, was diagnosed with prostate cancer three years ago.
