A SEVEN-year-old who had her hair cut for the first time last weekend, after being inspired by two family members suffering from breast cancer, is hoping to raise up to £700 for charity.
Isobel Howarth, of Haslam Hey Close, Bury, did the sponsored hair cut at the Black Bull pub, in Lowercroft Road, on Saturday. Her family found out last month that her grandmother's breast cancer had returned after 10 years, while her aunt was also diagnosed with the disease this year.
Mum Michelle Williams said: "Everything has gone so well, and we can't believe how short her hair is now. Isobel wasn't fazed at all by it, and the fundraising has been incredible - we are still collecting for another couple of weeks so hopefully we can reach about £700."
