A MAN is critically ill in hospital after being hit by a car in Radcliffe last night.
The 55-year-old was hit by a Vauxhall Corsa at the junction of Ainsworth Road and Wilton Lane at around 8.40pm on Sunday.
He was taken to Salford Royal Hospital with multiple serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.
Ainsworth Road was closed for six hours while emergency services attended the incident.
Police have reported a high number of incidents last night during heavy rain storms.
