Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a collision.
The 55-year-old man was walking across Ainsworth Road at the junction with Wilton Lane near to The Railway pub in Radcliffe, shortly after 8.30pm on Sunday.
When he crossed the road, there was a collision with a black Vauxhall Corsa
He was taken to hospital where his injuries are described as critical.
Sergeant Paul Higgins from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are really keen to speak to anyone who may have seen this collision.
“The man is in a critical condition and has had to undergo surgery for his injuries. We are supporting the man’s family at this extremely distressing time and we are trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding this incident.”
Police are now investigating and are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to get in touch. Anyone with information should phone the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4742.
