A TALENTED group of actors are gearing up for their winter bonanza — oh yes they are!

Each year, St Anne's Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (SADOS) puts on a summer play and a winter pantomime and they have chosen Hoodwinked for this year's pantomime performance.

Written by Andrew Yates, the comedy play tells the story of the adventures of Robin Hood, Maid Marion and Friary Tuck in Sherwood Forest — "not far from the city of Grottingham".

One of the organisers, Chris Cordes, said: "Based on the familiar Robin Hood style pantomime, Hoodwinked promises to be another great family show.

"What will Robin, Maid Marion and the rest of the outlaws get up to as they try and thwart the dastardly sheriff?

"Join them for the show to find out."

There will be three evening performances, starting at 7.30pm, on January 29, February 4 and February 5, and two matinee shows, starting at 2.30pm, on January 30 and February 6.

All performances will be at Four Lane Ends Congregational Church in Harwood Road in Tottington.

Tickets for the show cost £6 for adults, £4 for children and over 65s and £18 for a family ticket for two adults and two children.

You can order tickets via sados.org.uk or by calling into the Cottage Loaf in Market Street, Tottington.
