A man has been charged with the murder of Leanne Wall in Whitefield.
William Mack, aged 39, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder of the 36-year-old mother.
Shortly before 7.50am on Friday, police were called to an address on Conway Avenue in Besses to reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers attended and found the body of Leanne Wall.
A Home Office post mortem has now concluded that she died due to 'compression to the neck'.
Following a short search of the nearby area, a man was arrested on the hard shoulder of the M60 motorway on suspicion of murder.
Mack is due to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
