The Masjide Noorul Islam raised £3,000 of much needed funds for the East Lancashire Hospice.

The donation will go towards community group Connect UK’s efforts to raise funds for the Hospice.

Chairman of Connect UK Salim Sidat said: “We are very grateful to Masjide Noorul Islam of Audley Range, Blackburn for raising awareness of the hospice services in the BME community and also for raising this fantastic amount of money that will help the hospice to care for their patients.”

East Lancashire Hospice fundraising manager Sharon Crymble said: “The support of our community is very important to us, both to raise the money needed to be able to provide a special way of caring and also to spread the word of the services the hospice offers and the difference it can make at a time when it is needed.

“It can be a huge help and support to both patients and their families, but we need our community to know what we do and how they can access our services and we are extremely grateful to Connect UK and Masjide Noorul Islam for helping us to get this message out.”
