SHAKERS legends will be donning their boots once again as they take on a celebrity team to help good causes.

Returning to Gigg Lane for the Shakers this Sunday include current manager David Flitcroft, Andy Bishop, Brian Barry Murphy, Lee Bracey, Bury Times columnist Jamie Hoyland, Chris Brass, Phil Picken, Peter Sweeney and Cameron Belford, with more to be added.

Among those lining up for the celebrity XI will be Danny Miller from Emmerdale, Jake Quickenden from the X Factor, Cell Spellman from Radio 1 and Nico Mirallegro from My Mad Fat Diary and Hollyoaks.

The match will help raise money for and Bury FC Community Trust and Trafford Park-based Once Upon A Smile, which provides support to families that have lost a parent or child, by offering financial and respite support.

The match takes place at Gigg Lane on Sunday, with a 2pm kick off.

Turnstiles open from 1pm and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Tickets are £4 for adults and £2 for under 17s.

A family ticket is also available and is priced at £10. This includes two adults and two juniors.

Bury FC season ticket holders will also receive a discount of 50 per cent.

A limited number of mascot places are available to lead the teams out on the day.

All mascots to raise a minimum sponsorship of £30. This will be split between the two charities.

Mascots will receive a T-shirt memento of the day and will meet all of the players prior to leading them out on the pitch.
