A BURY-born football star is set to jet in from Spain to help a good cause on Sunday.

Former Everton player Phil Neville is among the celebrities who will be taking part in the annual Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford.

Now the assistant manager of La Liga side Valencia, Phil will be lining up for the England team against a Rest of the World side, with a bumper crowd expected.

The annual extravaganza, which is now in its tenth year, raises money for Unicef and its work to help underprivileged children around the world.

New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will be on home turf as he leads the England side, while Leicester's title-winning boss Claudio Ranieri will take charge of the opposition.

Lining up for England will be pop stars Olly Murs and Louis Tomlinson, and comedians John Bishop and Jack Whitehall.

Stars to feature in the Rest of the World team include actor Michael Sheen, chef Gordon Ramsay and former jockey Sir AP McCoy.

Phil made his name as a Manchester United defender and won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, three Charity Shields and a Champions League during a trophy-laden 10 years with the club playing over 260 games.

He went on to play for Everton 242 times and gained 59 England caps.

Phil said: "I'm actually quite worried because the Rest of the World team looks really strong.

"You've seen from past games it's going to be very competitive, it's the only way you can approach these games.

"We want to put on a show and we want to win.

"I've watched it over the last few years and it's a huge charity event which means a lot to the people that benefit from it.

"And the amazing thing is it keeps getting bigger and bigger. I think it'll be an amazing night and I can't wait."

Tickets cost £20 for adults and £5 for under 16s. Visit manutd.com for details.

ITV1 is showing the match live from 6pm.
