A 25-YEAR-OLD woman was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital after a car crash.

She was treated for potential head injuries after her car collided with a parked car in New Lane, Oswaldtwistle.

Police were called to the incident at 3.30pm on Monday, June 6, which involved a white Ford and a parked grey Peugeot.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called by the ambulance service to reports of a collision on New Lane.

"She has potential head injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening.”

A Lancashire Fire spokesman said: “We were alerted about the incident by a resident who dialled 999.

“No one was trapped but there was someone still in the car waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

“One appliance attended from Hyndburn and another from Blackburn.”

The incident took place opposite the Willow Park junction, near to The Parish Church of Immanuel, in New Lane.
