POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Bury pensioner was killed in a collision.

Edward Medlen, aged 81, died in Bury town centre after he was hit by a lorry in Knowsley Street on Wednesday, June 1, just before 11am.

PC Dermot Marray of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “It has been over three weeks now since Edward’s death and we have been following a number of enquiries as part of our investigation.

“Even if you think you don’t have any information to give, please get in touch as even the smallest detail might help.”
