THE world's best eateries have been revealed and, sadly, none are in Bury.

But that's not to say we don't have our fair share of places serving up good grub.

Last month, three UK eateries were hailed at the World's 50 Best Restaurants awards in New York — The Clove Club in London's Shoreditch, The Ledbury in London's Notting Hill and Heston Blumenthal's Dinner within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Hyde Park — we decided to check out which restaurants tantalise Bury's tastebuds.

Here are the top 10 restaurants in Bury, according to TripAdvisor reviews.

1. Armaan Exquisite Indian Cuisine on Outwood Road, Radcliffe

If you are looking for a restaurant where customer service goes that extra mile, then Armaan may take your fancy. Combining a vibrant yet relaxing environment with exotic and popular Indian dishes, Armaan promises to elevate your taste buds and mood.

The eaterie only opened in September 2015 and is already proving popular, earning a 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor.

Senior manager Mr Sky Miah said: "It's going brilliantly. The popular things about our restaurant are the food, the atmosphere and the service.

"At the moment, about 90% of our customers are regular — we get clients from everywhere, Bury, Bolton, Ramsbottom, Manchester, Prestwich."

2. Crowded House, Manchester Road, Bury

Rated 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor, the food offer at Crowded House focuses on sharing and grazing — presented in individual dishes or sharing platters.

Not only is the building home to a popular restaurant, but it also has a beauty salon offering a range of treatments — from hair and nails, to make up and Botox — plus a successful photography studio.

The business is owned by husband and wife team Johanne and Dave Banks, who were inspired to create the Crowded House as they both previously worked in hospitality.

Johanne said: "I'm happy with the Crowded House and the success it has brought in, it brings in a variety of clientele of all different ages, as there are services that suit all."

3. Stone’s Café, Rochdale Old Road, Bury

This friendly venue prides itself on putting great effort into providing exceptional hospitality and wonderful homemade meals in a comfortable, modern environment. With great gastropub and café food, you can expect to leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face.

4. Owens, Railway Street, Ramsbottom

Owens restaurant and bar is the perfect setting to kick back and relax with the luxury of fine dining presented by a talented and imaginative kitchen team. Even your four legged, furry friend is welcome.

Specialising in fine British food, Owen’s offers great deals including a 3 course meal, for £12.95, from Monday to Thursday.

5. Dining with Distinction, East Lancashire Railway, Bolton Street Station, Bury (pictured below)

Are you looking for a dining experience with a travelling twist? East Lancashire Railway offers the ultimate meal out as you step aboard a traditional, Pullman style carriage and journey through the Lancashire countryside — the food and views will leave you in total awe.

6. Levanter Fine Foods, Square Street, Ramsbottom

If your stomach is rumbling for fantastic food with a Spanish kick, Levanter is the place for you. Known for a great atmosphere and even greater food — from authentic tapas dishes to its excellent range of seafood — it boasts a brilliant choice of Spanish foods (minus the Spanish weather!)

7. Istanbul Grill, Bury New Road, Prestwich

If it's Mediterranean you're looking for, Istanbul Grill has its doors wide open. The kitchen and serving staff take superb pride in bringing the taste of Turkey to its customers. Reviewers on TripAdvisor recommend the Turkish sausage — as well as the Turkish beers!

8. The Clarence, Silver Street, Bury

This independent bar and restaurant is sister venue to the the Automatic Cafe in Market Street, Bury. Whether it's pub grub or ‘finer’ dining, this beautifully restored restaurant/bar will cater for your dining and drinking needs. Make sure you check out the cocktails.

9. Leckenby’s, Mill Gate Shopping Centre, Bury

A pleasant place to eat with an extensive range of high quality British foods. Before you begin the endless shopping spree around Bury Market, Leckenby’s is a delightful fuelling point where friendly waiters serve beautiful cakes, scones, sandwiches and afternoon teas.

10. Fisherman’s Retreat, Riding Head Lane, Ramsbottom

Located in the beautiful countryside of the Rossendale valley, this multi award winning bar/restaurant values all customers and presents them with superb seafood and more. This is an extremely popular place, for all types of occasions, so reservations must be made.
