NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group's (CCG) next governing body meeting is taking place at 3pm on Wednesday at Townside Primary Care Centre, Knowsley Place in Bury.

There will be an update on Bury Hospice, Greater Manchester Devolution and local hospitals.

A change to the agenda for July is that the Governing Body was due to make a decision on the future of prescribing gluten-free items for adult.

However, to allow further time to develop the proposal around how patients would be appropriately monitored and supported if prescribing in this area was to stop, this item will now be discussed in more detail at the meeting in September.

Public questions relating to the agenda items being discussed are welcome.

These should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

You can find the question form at buryccg.nhs.uk under Your local NHS, Boardroom, then rules of the Governing Body.

The CCG's chief officer Stuart North said: "Our Governing Body meetings provide a great opportunity for local people to come along and find out more about what we do and to get closer to the decision making process about the services we plan and purchase on their behalf.

"We regularly welcome members of the public to our meetings and I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more about what we do and how we make decisions to come along.”
