RAMSBOTTOM Festival's programme keeps on growing, with plenty of fun for all the family.

The annual event is taking place on September 16 - 18 at Ramsbottom Cricket Club.

In addition to the musical line up, there are plenty of activities for families to get involved with.

From making goblin heads to trapeze workshops, there is something for everyone.

Over the weekend there will be a number of diverse family shows and workshops, including Kilter Theatre's Mobile Sorting Office.

Children can be transported to the world of snail mail and uncover the curious love story of Verity the heiress of an international pen-pal agency and Red, a redundant post master.

Bury Collective will be there once again hosting a variety of activities including sketch tours to making goblin heads and origami lanterns.

Joining them will be Professor Jigget, who is on a quest to tell the most interesting story ever through live illustration.

Local Scouts will be running survival skills and building challenges suitable for children aged eight and over.

There will be fire lighting skills, cooking bacon over a candle and tower building with spaghetti and marshmallows.

Also returning this year are the National Childcare Trust who will bring a nappy changing tent, sling library hire and real nappy information service.

Plenty of big names have already been confirmed for the annual music extravaganza with local bands supporting big names.

Headlining on the Friday is Public Service Broadcasting, Gaz Coombes headlines on the Saturday and Fun Lovin' Criminals will headline the Sunday.

Tickets for children for the festival are £7 and under 6s go free.

Adult tickets start at £28 for a day or £75 for a full weekend and family discounts are available.
