THREE men have been charged in connection with an alleged burglary at a convenience store.
Shaun Eldred, 32, of no fixed address but formerly of Rogerstead, Blackshaw Lane, Bolton, appeared at Bolton Magistrates’ Court alongside David Talbot, 38, of Loxham Street, Moses Gate, and Jason Wolstenholme, 45, of Harpford Drive, Breightmet.
All three face the same two charges.
They are each accused of conspiring with the others to burgle Mace Stores, in Brandlesholme Road, Greenmount, formerly known as Greenmount News, to steal cigarettes on August 10 and of going equipped for burglary, namely with a crowbar, a pair of bolt croppers and a duvet cover, on the same date.
None entered pleas and they were remanded back into custody to appear at Bolton Crown Court on September 9.
The prosecutions come after detectives investigated a series of alleged overnight raids.
These included Tesco in Crossley Street, Little Lever; Nisa in Market Street, Little Lever, and the Spar store at Turks Road Service Station in Turks Road, Radcliffe.
