PEEL Brow School supported the Jeans for Genes charity day today, Friday September 23.
Children all came to school wearing their normal school uniform, except they were wearing jeans.
Teacher, Carol Parker, said: “This is something really close to my heart and it is absolutely brilliant to see so many people supporting the charity.”
The whole school could be seen wearing jeans, with the school chef, cleaners, teaching assistants, and teachers all embracing the day.
Head teacher, Danny Mellor, said: “We raised over £85 which is a brilliant effort, with families donating £1 to come wearing their jeans. We held our usual Sunshine Assembly during the morning and it was really obvious how many people were supporting the charity.”
