SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog

WE have just had another very busy weekend. Three of our amazing team took part in the ultimate military obstacle course, Born Survivor, in Manchester on Saturday.

Michelle Bernhagen, John Bakewell, of Bakewell Carpet Care, and Cllr Jamie Walker all ran, climbed, leapt and crawled their way through 10km of mud to raise funds for Josh’s charity.

Another team headed up to the Lakes to Jump for Josh and Skydive from 14,000ft. Sadly, due to the weather, only one managed to jump, but a massive well done to Paul Schofield who completed his jump!

We would like to say a special thank you to Wingates Signs and Graphics, which sponsored the SuperJosh race at Haydock Races this weekend. It was an incredible opportunity to raise lots of awareness of Josh's Charity and raise more funds.

The signage looked fantastic, and it was a real honour to present the race winners and talk about our work.

I owe a huge thank you to our amazing team of Thumbraisers who helped out so much on the day.

This week we are hosting a Super Hero afternoon for Ward 84 the Oncology ward at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as part of Septembers Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

There will be face painting, balloon modelling, two real-life Super Heroes and, of course, lots of cake!

We can’t wait to create a special afternoon for so many very poorly children and young people.

Don’t forget, this Sunday, Chris Kennedy from Extreme Car Care in Radcliffe (next to Asda) will be hosting a SuperJosh Car Wash. Helped by our team of thumbraisers, you can have your car expertly cleaned, with ALL proceeds coming directly to the charity. Thanks in advance for your support, and we look forward to seeing you there.
