BURY College apprentice Sarah Anson has found a rewarding vocation working for a charitable organisation.
Sarah, aged 21, from Tottington, is putting something back into the local community as she completes her apprenticeship at the Age UK charity shop in the Longfield Centre in Prestwich. Sarah began her apprenticeship in September 2015 and is due to complete it later this month where she will then look into progressing onto a management apprenticeship.
Sarah’s duties at the retail shop include front end service where she serves customers, dresses the front window and maintains a tidy shop floor.
Sarah also organises the stock room where she is responsible for steaming clothes and managing stock control.
The former Tottington High School pupil said: “My apprenticeship has been good and everyone has been really friendly. It is nice to work for a charity as I feel am I giving something back.”
