FOR the third time this year Bury FC have warded off moves by the taxman to wind up the club.
Back in London's High Court, the Gigg Lane club's latest reprieve came after the judge was told by counsel for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs an unpaid tax bill had now been settled.
Maxim Cardew, counsel for HMRC, did not reveal how much tax was owing, but told Registrar Christine Derrett the bill had now been "paid in full" and asked her to dismiss the winding up petition.
