A FREE community-led event to celebrate equality and diversity in Bury will come to the town centre next year.
Bury Pride will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017 and will feature a parade through the town’s streets and entertainment at the Elizabethan Suite, in the Town Hall.
The event is also to break down barriers for LGBTQ+ people in accessing services within Bury.
At the Elizabethan Suite, there will be a main stage and an acoustic room with a variety of entertainment throughout the day, speeches from Bury councillors and VIPs, a Prosecco bar and the main bar serving drinks and a selection of food.
There will be approximately 30 to 35 stalls with a vast range of LGBT-themed services, and a sparkling fire engine from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
