FANS of Danny Boyle can quiz the award-winning filmmaker in a special Q&A session in January.

The Radcliffe-born director will be returning Manchester’s HOME arts and entertainment centre in January for a special screening of his highly-anticipated new film, T2: Trainspotting.

After sitting down to watch the film, a sequel to hugely popular black comedy drama, visitors can then put their questions to Danny at the event on Saturday, January 28.

The film is loosely based on Irvine Welsh’s book, Porno, and will be set 20 years after the original, which was released in 1996.

Four of the stars of the first Trainspotting will be returning; Ewan McGregor as Renton, Robert Carlyle as Begbie, Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy and Ewen Bremner as Spud.

A new trailer for the movie was released last month, teasing the story of how the characters come back together after two decades.

Tickets will go on sale exclusively to HOME Friends on Friday, January 6, followed by HOME members on Monday, January 9, before going on general sale on Tuesday, January 10.

Demand for tickets is expected to be extremely high.

Danny is a patron of the city centre cultural hub and previously held a Q&A there for his previous film, Steve Jobs.

T2: Trainspotting is scheduled for release on January 27 in the UK.
