PARKLIFE has revealed the first headliner for this year’s festival.
American R&B star Frank Ocean was the first act announced by organisers on Nick Grimshaw's BBC Radio 1 breakfast show this morning.
The Heaton Park festival, on June 10 and 11, will be his first UK performance since 2014.
The rest of the line-up will be revealed at 6pm tonight.
Ocean, originally from New Orleans, shot to fame after releasing Thinkin Bout You, which was the debut lead single for his first major album Channel Orange in 2012.
He began his career as a member of Los Angeles rap group Odd Future alongside Tyler, The Creator, before releasing Nostalgia Ultra in 2011 as a solo artist.
It will be the first time he performs tracks from his second studio album Blonde, which features stars including Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar.
Tickets will be available on Thursday, February 2 at 9am through Ticketmaster.
Fans who have registered for the pre-sale will be able to buy tickets first on Wednesday, February 1 at 9am.
