POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for a woman missing from Prestwich.
Mary Steeds was last seen getting off a tram at Victoria station in Manchester City Centre about 12.20pm yesterday.
The 70-year-old, who was originally reported missing from Poppythorn Lane at about 3pm yesterday, suffers from dementia and could be confused or disorientated.
She is described as a white woman, about 5ft 9in, medium build with shoulder-length dark hair which is slightly wavy.
She is believed to be wearing glasses, a blue thigh-length anorak, light stone washed blue jeans and a pair of brown Chelsea-style boots. Ms Steeds is also carrying a large black handbag.
Officers searching for her also believe that she does not have access to money or a mobile phone.
Anyone with any information about Mary’s whereabouts, or thinks they recognise her, is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident number 1184 of February 16, 2017.
