QUORN Foods Ltd is recalling a batch of its frozen Meat Free Mince from Tesco supermarkets because it may contain small pieces of metal.
The affected product is any Quorn Mince 300g with a Date Code of 136331 BBE 31/8/18.
Customers who have bought the mince should not consume it and should return the item to Tesco for a full refund.
A point-of-sale-notice will be displayed at Tesco stores.
A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency said: “This product may contain small pieces of metal which could represent a safety risk.
“If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”
