SUPERJOSH founder Dawn Fidler brings you her latest blog

WE would all like to offer a massive thanks to the amazing team at Earl & Ginger, who have generously donated and fitted a new kitchen for one of our families.

When we received the referral, two-year-old Gabriella who has a brain tumour and is currently being treated at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, was having to live with an old and rotten kitchen, which was a huge infection risk for her.

Given her current treatment it was imperative for her to have a suitable environment to store her meds and sterile supplies.

Without hesitation the award winning team at Earl & Ginger offered to step in and help replace the rotten kitchen.

Jennifer, Gabriella’s mum, told us: "We are overwhelmed by everyone's kindness. It's such a relief to now have a clean, safe kitchen space for Gabriella. Thank you so much Earl & Ginger for all your help and kindness!"

We can't thank them enough, it means so much to be able to help provide support like this and transform a health risk into a clean living space thanks to Mike and his incredible team.

Thank you also to Paul and Ben Fox who have raised £1,070 for the Mayor's Charities which includes ourselves, Annabelle's Challenge and the Alzheimer's Society. Paul and Ben do so much fundraising for local causes through their online auction pages, I think it's safe to say we would all be lost without their efforts. Thank you on behalf of all the SuperJosh team, and the wider community who benefits from your generosity.

A huge thumbs up also needs to go to the PADOS Youth Team and its awesome production of AvenueQ held at The Met. The mid-show collections held for SuperJosh raised a whopping £663. Our team was thrilled to be able to see the show, everyone is so talented and should be really proud of themselves.

Finally, congratulations to our supporters Joyce and Graham Lever on their 50th wedding anniversary which they celebrated on Saturday night, special thanks to all their guests who donated to SuperJosh at their request and raised £225!
