PHARMACISTS are to trial a scheme where they will work within GP practices in Bury.

Information on this pilot project and the action plan linked to Bury’s Primary Care Strategy will be presented at the next CCG meeting.

Regular items on the agenda include finance and quality, as well as schemes to improve the quality of services including the provision of GP Practice appointments at evenings and weekends.

Peter Bury, chairman of the primary care commissioning committee for the CCG said: “Our meetings provide a great opportunity for local people to find out more about what we do.

“At this meeting we will be hearing about some innovative work happening in GP Practices in Bury.”

The meeting takes place on Wednesday, April 26, beginning at noon in Townside Primary Care Centre, Knowsley Place, fifth floor.

Members of the public are invited to ask questions but these should be submitted in advance to allow time for the question to be picked up and processed in advance of the meeting.

Question forms are available on at www.buryccg.nhs.uk under ‘Your local NHS’ or by phoning 0161 762 3189.
