THE article by Mike Crutchley on Fake News (do we have to become Americanised?) and the campaign by local newspapers asking for customer (readers') feedback had the same flaws endemic in today's instant society, which is the disenfranchisement of the disabled.
My impaired vision prevents me from using computer screens, texting, etc, and there are so many people for a multitude of reasons who are unable to operate online, yet newspapers are either too lazy or just uninterested to include a telephone number which would solve the problem for many readers.
In the case of offers or competitions, the problem would be alleviated by a postal address.
Perhaps this is "fake" behaviour!
But hasn't the maxim of the newspaper industry always been never let the truth spoil a good story!
