DETECTIVES have released a CCTV image of two men following a break-in at a house in Radcliffe.

Officers would like to trace the men in connection with an investigation, after a group of men forced their way into an address in Bury Road, at around 8pm on May 5.

After pulling up in a dark Audi A4 car, one of the intruders smashed a window with a metal bar while another ran inside and ushered the occupants - three women and a man - into a bedroom upstairs.

He then made demands for money and the gang searched the house but left without taking any valuables.

Detective Constable Robert Leacy from GMP’s Bury Borough said: “This must have been a terrifying ordeal for this family, particularly as it happened in their own home, which is the place we tend to feel and should be safest.

“It happened during broad daylight so we are hoping that someone may have seen something that can assist us with our investigation.

“If you recognise these men or have any information about this incident at all, please come forward and speak to us by calling 101 or 0161 856 4642 quoting incident reference 2040 of 05/05/17.”

Alternatively, information can be reported to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
