FAMILIES can enjoy a feast of activities at Bury Agricultural Show on Sunday.

The 74th annual event will take place at Burrs Country Park with new attractions on offer this time around.

This year the UK Spectre Squad – a group of Star Wars themed costumers from the North West – will be making an appearance at the show.

Stuntman Dangerous Steve will also be delighting crowds, showing off an array of talents including fire and chainsaw juggling.

Elsewhere, a miniature pony and Cinderella carriage ride, a galloping acrobat and a farrier competition where contestants make horse shoes will be on offer throughout the day.

As usual there will be sheep, cattle, poultry, light and heavy horses to see, along with arts and crafts and a trade village.

This year people can catch a steam train from Bury Bolton Street station to the newly built Burrs Country Park station.

The event will start at 8.30am and run until around 5pm.

Entrance to the show costs £7 for adults, whilst children over 12 and OAP’s get in for £5. Children under 12 get in for free. Only cash will be accepted.
