FOODIES are being urged to snap up tickets to the town’s newest addition to the festival calendar.

The Big Grill is bringing a mix of food, drink and music to Burrs Country Park on July 15 and 16.

Tickets are selling out fast to the new festival, which is organised by the team behind Prestwich festival Festwich.

Set among epic scale barbecues, meat smokers, sizzling street food vendors, craft ale and quirky cocktail bars, willing participants can partake in the festival’s Eats To The Beats food challenges.

Organiser Jools Taylor has issued a ticket warning and said it is likely all tickets will sell out before the weekend.

He said: “We are delighted, the response we have had since announcing the new festival has been brilliant and it’s looking like it’s going to be a huge weekend.

“There are some tickets remaining from our website, but we advise people to be quick before they all go.

“It’s the perfect recipe for a family weekend of fun with activities for all including the little ones.”

The festival will see tributes to the Stereophonics and Kings of Leon plus a huge line-up of acoustic acts and DJs will perform over the weekend.

Singing sensation Linda Jennings from Bolton, who appeared on The Voice will also perform.
