Firefighters were called out after a fire engulfed a derelict caravan last night.
Crews tackled the burning caravan, understood to have been abandoned several years ago, at land near Eccles Street, in Ramsbottom.
One pump from Ramsbottom and another from Rawtenstall tackled the blaze for about one hour after being called out just before midnight.
It is believed the fire was started deliberately.
Firefighter Paul Hesford said: “It was fortunate it didn’t spread. Had it been a bit drier it would’ve spread to sheds and fencing but with it being fairly damp yesterday evening it didn’t.”
