ON August 12, a six-person team from Cheetham Hill Construction Limited completed the Three Peak Challenge.

This meant climbing Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside back to back!

Setting of at 6am on a Saturday was the first challenge, as the team, made up of Lee, Dianne, Pete, Katie, Craig and Adrian headed for Pen-y-Ghent.

After one hour, a casual stroll turned in to an on-all-fours climb as they scrambled to the peak.

By the time they reached the top of Whernside, the rain was attacking from every direction, morale was low but the whole team pulled together, and came out the other side with smiles on their faces.

The team split in to two with the first group finishing in 11 hours 51 minutes and the other just over 14 hours — both amazing achievements!

Despite the blisters, sore knees and windswept faces, the entire team made it to the end.

When I spoke to them afterwards, they said: “We are so proud that we managed to conquer the three peaks, but we exceeded our target for fundraising.

"As things stand, we’ve raised £1,520 with gift aid and are so glad that SuperJosh is going to be able to do amazing things with this money. Thank you to everyone involved and those who donated and supported us.”

We want to say a huge well done and thank you to the team!

They smashed their fundraising target, which is not only going to help one of our families with a memory making trip to Discovery Cove in America, but will help another two families with hospital expenses grants to help relieve their financial stress during treatment.

This weekend, it's Manchester Pride and our team is so excited to take part and raise loads of awareness of Josh's charity.

Our theme is SuperJosh's High School Musical. I won't share any more of our plans with you yet . . . if you're going or taking part, we don't think you will miss us!
