A BURY jewellers has donated a nine-carat diamond pendant and chain, worth £600, to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary for the shelter’s 60th anniversary ball.
F.Hinds, in the Millgate Shopping Centre, has previously supported the charity in Edenfield with a raffle.
David du Plessis, manager of F.Hinds Bury, said the store’s team are “delighted” to support the charity.
He said: “We have chosen them as our preferred charity because we admire and support all of the great work that they do for the animals.
“We are all animal lovers here at our Bury branch, and we really admire the charity’s care for homeless and abandoned animals.
“The work that the charity does is not only close to our hearts, but also to many others in our community.
“The donation is absolutely beautiful and makes the perfect prize for anyone attending the celebration ball to honour Bleakholt’s diamond anniversary.
Stuart Murray, Bleakholt’s operations manager, said: “We can’t thank F.Hinds enough for donating this diamond pendant and chain. This is a big year for us as it’s our 60th anniversary and help from companies like F.Hinds means that we can look forward to at least another 60 years of caring for animals.”
