STAFF at a Bury business have given up their free time to help tidy up some woodland.
Knight, Kavanagh and Page, which is based in Knowsley Street, cleared foliage from the ponds at Summerseat Nature Reserve last Friday.
It came about after Noell Leather, the lead volunteer at the reserve, did some work for KPP and persuaded them to visit Summerseat.
Chris MacFarlane, from KKP, said: “As part of our company and staff development we look to regularly organise company development/environment days. Through knowing Noell we have visited Summerseat Reserve a number of times over the year.
“Being able to help Noell and her volunteers, as well as giving something back to the local area, is a fantastic opportunity for us; with the added benefit for staff to socialise and work together outside of an office environment.”
