RADCLIFFE FC conceded a dramatic late equaliser as they were held to a 3-3 draw at Colne in Evo-Stik North on Saturday.

Jon Macken's men went to Colne in search of their first win in six league matches, and looked to have earned it after James Hooper's second goal of the game on the hour mark put them 3-1 up.

Ollie Crankshaw pulled one back for the hosts four minutes later but it looked like Boro would hold on before Oliver Wood levelled deep into stoppage time.

A fourth draw in five matches was scant reward for Radcliffe as they dropped down to 19th in the table.

They began brightly, with Hooper firing an early chance wide,

But Radcliffe's in-form striker did not have too long to wait to get on the scoresheet, capitalising on some slack defending to put the visitors in front on 20 minutes.

Jake Doran added a second goal for Boro a minute before half time, finding the net with a superb diving header.

But Colne went into the break on a high when Sean Miller pounced on Shiraz Khan's flick-on to convert from close range.

Any hopes from the home side that there would be a switch in momentum after the break did not materialise as Hooper diverted in a deflected Devante Jacobs shot to restore Boro's two-goal advantage.

But Crankshaw's quick-fire effort began the fight back.

Boro skipper Carl Peers missed a chance to seal victory after failing to find the finish to cap a fine solo run, and Wood's late leveller made sure Boro rued the miss.
