FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a tackle a blaze at a takeaway in Radcliffe on Friday night.
Crews from Whitefield, Bury and Bolton North were called to Zak's Takeaway in Ainsworth Road, at 7.20pm to reports of a fire in the bathroom of the premises.
The fire was started by a discarded cigarette which someone had been smoking while using the toilet.
Tony Wellock, watch manager at Whitefield Fire Station, said: "The fire looked as though it had been smouldering a while.
"It took a while to find the fire because she smoke was that thick.
"No one was injured and everyone was already outside upon our arrival."
