CCTV images have been released of two men following a series of burglary incidents in Ramsbottom.

Ramsbottom neighbourhood policing team suspect the men are linked to one burglary, and two attempted burglaries in the town.

Officers said the burglars gained entry to one property by 'snapping the lock to the door and taking out the euro cyclinder lock'.

Images of the men attempting to break in to the Eagle in Child pub in Whalley Road in the early hours of Wednesday, December 6, have now been released.

PC Angela Atkinson said: "These images are of two males who were attempting to gain entry into the Eagle and Child in Whalley Road in Ramsbottom last week at 4am and we suspect they were the same people who attempted to break into one property close by and did break into another property."

A silver Vauxhall Insignia was being used by the men.

Anyone with information which may help identify the men should contact police quoting crime reference number 327073C/17.
