Mayor tombola
Three charities are set to receive an early Christmas present after drawing a winning ticket at a special tombola and book sale held by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Dorothy Gunther.
Prizes, books and DVDs donated by local businesses and individuals were also won and sold at the event, at Bury Tesco.
Over £200 was raised which will now go to the mayor's charities: Bury Hospice, Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, and the RNLI.
