A GOLF course in Prestwich could be used for 17 new homes.

Developers are looking to build 17 new two-storey houses on part of Prestwich Golf Course as part of a redevelopment scheme.

As well as 17 new homes the application looks to gain approval for landscaping, boundary treatments, a public area and additional infrastructure.

The homes would be built in the south east corner of Prestwich Golf Club off Kersal Road and a new access road would be built providing access to 13 of the houses.

The other four would face onto Kersal Road.

The Guide understands the golf course itself is in early stages of a redevelopment and the design access statement says: "To the north of the application site, there is the main site of Prestwich

Golf Club which is to undergo an extensive remodelling."

The four bedroom homes will be a mix of detached and semi-detached properties and each one has room for at least three cars and will come with an electric vehicle charging point.
