A BBC1 singing talent show is due to launch and one of Little Lever's own is due to star.

Former Spice Girl Geri Horner features on the new programme - All Together Now - hosted by comedian Rob Beckett.

But another face to look out for when the six-part series premieres on Saturday, January 27, is Little Lever singer Jessica Cambray.

The 34-year-old has been chosen as one of 'The100' - a judging panel of 100 talented singers or performers.

Mrs Cambray said: "It's a wonderful family show, which brings light and joy to its audience, something very much needed in the times we are living in.

"It was such a pleasure to be a part of this show. I made 99 new friends who are all talented in their field. It's amazing that I got the opportunity to be involved and absolutely loved every minute."

If The 100 like what they hear, they will stand up and join in with the contestants. The winner of each round is the person who gets most of the judges on their feet.

The 100 includes Geri Horner, award-winning vocalist Destiny Michelle, West End performers, a cabaret host, drag queen, rapper and former Britain's Got Talent contestant.

If any of this panel like what they hear, they will press their buzzer and stand up and join in.

Contestants are awarded a score out of 100. First, second and third positions are awarded in each round, with those coming first going straight to the final.

The overall winner of the show will go home with £50,000.

Married mum-of-two Mrs Cambray was spotted for her role through her YouTube channel.

She said: "I'm delighted to be part of it. You never know what’s round the corner.

"Once again I need to say I wouldn’t be here without the continuing support of my beautiful friends and family."

The first episode will see interpretations of classics such as Lionel Richie's All Night Long and Tina Turner's Proud Mary as well as music by Ariana Grande and Niall Horan.

The hour-long programme airs on BBC1 on Saturday, January 27 at 7.15pm.
