VISITORS to the East Lancashire Railway (ELR) will have half a dozen opportunities to see The Flying Scotsman this year.
ELR chairman, Mike Kelly, announced that the famous locomotive will make six appearances on the heritage railway in-between running planned main line rail tours.
Appearances will be a mixture of displays and working trips on the line between March and September.
The dates are:
March 10-11: Public display on ELR.
March 30 to April 1-2: Public display on ELR.
May 12-13: Trips on ELR.
August 24-27: Trips on ELR.
September 5-8: Trips on the ELR.
September 9: Public Display on ELR.

Flying Scotsman returned to the East Lancashire Railway on January 8.
