A MAN arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.
A 50-year-old man was arrested by Greater Manchester Police last week after they reopened the case into the death of a woman in 2014.
Linda Richardson, aged 49, was found unconscious at a house in Spencer Street, Elton on June 14, 2014.
Ms Richardson was taken to hospital where she died sometime later.
An investigation into the circumstances was launched at the time and the case was subsequently closed as it was deemed there were no suspicious circumstances.
In November 2017, officers received new information that caused police to reopen the case and a man was arrested. He has now been released under investigation.
