WOODHEY High School have been handed a £200 donation by teaching and supply agency Vision for Education.
The money will go towards the school's online merit shop where pupils gain merits for positive contributions and their efforts in class.
Each pupil has a personal login which allows them to browse the shop and exchange merits for items such as stationery, sports equipment and early lunch passes.
The school's assistant headteacher Howard Turner said: "Rewarding pupils for their efforts in school is an important part of recognising achievement and motivating young people not only to work hard in lessons but also to be good members of our school community.
"Unfortunately, owing to financial constraints, we are not always able to maintain sufficient levels of stock in our shop so the donation from Vision for Education is very much appreciated by staff and pupils."
