A college enjoyed a day of fun, food and culture as they hosted an Appreciating Black Culture event, on March 21.
Staff and students at Holy Cross celebrated many elements of black culture including music, fashion and dance, as well as sharing in an opportunity to share cultural heritage and learn about inspiring figures and customs.
The colour and activity filled day also included a hair stall and plenty of cooking, including some delicious chicken recipes, before culminating in a BBQ.
The event, organised by the college's 4Peace group to coincide with the UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, fundraised for WaterAid through a raffle for Black Panther cinema tickets, donated by VUE Cinema Bury.
