A CROQUET fun day in Radcliffe helped raise more than £500 for Bury Hospice.
Bury Croquet Club has now totted up the funds and handed a cheque for £510 over to Paul Fennelly, head of fundraising for Bury Hospice.
Dozens of residents turned out to the family event at Coronation Park on Saturday, April 21.
The former Mayor of Bury, Councillor Dorothy Gunther and consort, Michael Gunther, also enjoyed a traditional game of croquet.
Phil Nuttall, club spokesman, said: "The weather was on our side as we had a good turnout. Besides being able to try croquet, there were bric-a-brac and tombola stands.
"It was fantastic to raise this money for such a good cause."
