OLD Hall Primary School's new annex was opened by Bury North MP James Frith last month.
Mr Frith visited the school, in Springside View, to unveil its new infill extension, which will be used for teaching intervention groups, a meeting room and as a cooking preparation area.
He visited each class to meet pupils, staff and answer questions before cutting a ribbon to officially open the new extension.
The school council then held a cake sale after school, raising £203.18 to buy new cooking preparation equipment.
During the event on April 27, pupils, parents, friends and relatives were invited in to view the new extension.
Headteacher Mrs Deborah Ainscoe said: "It has been a great pleasure to have James open our new annex, which will be a pivotal area within our school.
"The multi-function room can be used for wide range of purposes and will further develop and increase our capacity to engage and enthuse our learners within a unique setting."
