FOUR men appeared in court today over the alleged attempted murder of a man in Prestwich.
Steven O'Donnell, aged 24, of Carr Avenue, Prestwich; Matthew Moss, aged 24, of Rydal Avenue, Chadderton; Daniel Boyle, aged 31, of Trowtree Avenue, Gorton; and Anthony Ward, aged 29, of Braithwaite Road, Middleton appeared for a plea hearing at Bolton Crown Court in connection with the shooting of John Louden.
The 49-year-old suffered life-changing injuries following the incident at a house in Glebelands Road on November 27.
O'Donnell, Moss, Boyle and Ward all pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit murder.
Ward and Boyle also pleaded not guilty to possession of an offensive weapon — named in court as machetes.
The case has now been adjourned until a pre-trial hearing on July 13.
Waseem Ahmed, aged 29, of Greenstead Avenue, Manchester also appeared at Bolton Crown Court today but did not enter a plea. He will appear again at Bolton Crown Court tomorrow via video link.
A sixth defendant, Dominic Burke, of Whinfell Drive, Middleton will also appear tomorrow.
