MORE than 400 people attended the first of Six Town Housing's Summer Roadshow events last week.

The event at Hoyles Park in Bury was the first in a series of family friendly information sessions taking place across the borough during the school holidays.

Each event includes free entertainment for children and useful information stalls for tenants and residents living in the homes and communities that Six Town Housing manage on behalf of Bury Council.

Children enjoyed free face-painting, a bouncy castle, coconut shy, reptile handling and lots of games and competitions at the event last Tuesday.

Adults had the opportunity to report repairs, take part in a condensation and damp workshop, access digital training, find out about available employment support and much more.

A number of Six Town Housing’s contractors and partners also brought games and spoke to residents, including Greater Manchester Police, SURE Group, Connolly and BAAS.

The Summer Roadshow will next visit Powell Street, in Bury, tomorrow, before Red Bank Field, in Radcliffe, on Tuesday, August 7; Victoria Park, in Whitefield, on Tuesday, August 14; and Venwood Road Ball Park, in Prestwich, on Tuesday, August 21.
