POLICE who were waiting to tow a car with no insurance also noticed another uninsured vehicle in the same Halliwell street.

The officers, from Greater Manchester Police, had stopped a blue Audi on Halliwell Road, near Raglan Street, on Monday afternoon and were waiting for a tow truck to take the vehicle away.

While in the area, the officers noticed another car which was also uninsured, and also seized that vehicle.

Recalling the incident on Twitter, a police spokesman said: "Officers stopped an Audi yesterday on Halliwell Rd with no insurance.

"The vehicle was seized & while waiting for the car to be taken away, officers spotted another vehicle, also uninsured. #2for1 #buy1get1free"
