A RISING star of the small screen is celebrating her second big break in as many years after landing a part in hit Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
Actor and model Sinead Moynihan, of Stoneclough Road, Radcliffe, is set to burst on to the scene of the Chester-based soap in October as Beth Clement - the mysterious and controversial girlfriend of Jack-the-lad character Rhys Ashworth.
The 25-year-old mum of one, who rose to fame when she bagged the star slot in action-packed BBC3 series Drop Dead Gorgeous, said the new role was a dream come true.
"When they told me I'd been chosen to play Beth I just couldn't believe it," said Sinead. "I was over the moon. When I think back to this time last year and how far I have come with my acting since then, it is amazing,"
Sinead, who was born in Salford, moved to Radcliffe in January to be with her partner Darrell, who is a model. Her four-year-old son is called Dylan.
After working as a model, she was asked by a casting director to audition for Drop Dead Gorgeous, which was aired on BBC3 last year.
It tells the story of 15-year-old Ashley, played by Sinead, who is just a normal girl until she is spotted by a talent scout and becomes a model, much to the envy of her friends and annoyance of her family.
She said: "When I first heard about the auditions I thought it was for a side role or for an extra, so when I discovered it was the lead role I was shocked to say the least. It was a fantastic opportunity getting Drop Dead Gorgeous."
Having just filmed a second series, which will be aired later this year, Sinead got some more exciting news from her agent, Nigel Martin-Smith, that casting agents at Hollyoaks wanted her to go to their Liverpool studio.
Hollyoaks was the creation of ex-Brookshire producer Phil Redmond who thought a soap aimed at teenagers and twentysomething would be popular. It launched the career of well-known Bury actress Gemma Atkinson.
Sinead said: "I had three auditions before I got the part of Beth. It has been so incredible so far.
"I was so nervous at the start but it helps because the other cast members are so friendly and I know some members of the crew from Drop Dead Gorgeous anyway.
"I have to travel about 40 minutes to the studio every day and, even with Dylan it's not too demanding.
"I'm just enjoying it and getting lots of support from Darrell."
One of Sinead's biggest challenges has been adapting to her new role, as Beth is a Kate Moss-style feisty rock chick, while Ashley is a lot more ambitious and confident.
"Making that transition was a bit tricky but I've had a lot of help from people at Hollyoaks and I'm getting there now.
"I've been filming for about three weeks and am loving every minute of it.
"There will be some fantastic storylines coming up in October featuring Beth, which will hopefully make the soap even better," said Sinead.
